Mammoth Hospital is looking for a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated and highly skilled team comprised of avid outdoors enthusiasts (rock climbers, triathletes, mountaineers, ultramarathoners!). Physical Therapists are responsible for the evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy treatment, formulation of a treatment plan and goals, and administration of the physical therapy treatments. Physical Therapist Assistants are responsible for following the Physical Therapist's treatment plan and administration of physical therapy treatments. The Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant will work out of both the Mammoth and Bishop locations based on demand. They will be active in inpatient and outpatient services, interacting with all hospital departments and medical staff.

Requirements
What you'll do as a Physical Therapist:
- 1:1 Patient care with one 45 min appointment every hour.
- Performs appropriate evaluation tests and measurements based on the patient’s diagnosis.
- Develop treatment plans, including reassess and revise every 6 weeks or earlier based on patient's progress.
- Performs physical therapy techniques appropriate to the diagnosis.
- Demonstrates use of physical therapy modalities appropriate to the diagnosis.
- Documents progress reports for patients in a timely manner to coincide with physician follow up visits, and to assist with compliance for insurance carriers and utilization review companies for authorization and reimbursement.
- In addition to scheduled weekday and Saturday shifts, will share with other PTs coverage for in-patient care on holidays and Sundays (generally one holiday per year and Sunday coverage 6-8 times per year).
What you'll do as a Physical Therapist Assistant:
- Performs specific tests and measurements in Physical Therapy Clinics.
- Performs physical therapy techniques appropriate to the diagnosis as designated in the treatment plan.
- Utilize physical therapy modalities appropriate to the diagnosis as designated in the treatment plan.
- Assist Physical Therapist in patient discharge planning as needed.
- Record signed notes into the patient record each time physical therapy services have been performed.

Qualifications for a Physical Therapist:
- Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy and a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of California.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments.
- Minimum of one year PT experience preferred.
- COVID Vaccination requirement.
Qualifications for a Physical Therapist Assistant:
- Associates degree required for Physical Therapist Assistant. State of California Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments.
- Two years of experience as an assistant preferred for Physical Therapist Assistant.
- COVID Vaccination requirement.
Job Information:
- Starting wage for a Physical Therapist $44.07 to $47.19 based on qualifications. Full pay range $44.07-$62.77.
- Starting wage for a Physical Therapist Assistant $30.87 to $33.05 based on qualifications. Full pay range $30.87-$43.96.
